Registration for primitive and modern camping is in the registration tent at the gate. Hours are: Sunday, June 9th thru Wednesday, June 12th; Thursday, June 13th 8am-7pm; Friday, June 14th 8am-8pm; Saturday, June 15th 8am-12pm(noon). NO ONE may pick up another camper’s packet. Camp closes on Sunday, June 16th at 3pm and ALL campers/vendors must be off the Island Monday, June 17th by noon.

ANYONE camping on the Island prior to Thursday, June 13th, will pay an additional $25.00 per day per camp. There will be no set up of camps prior to Sunday, June 9th 3pm. Camp fees include: Kids Games, Women’s Games, Hawk Throw, Knife Throw, Black Powder Shooting Competition, Primitive Bow Shoot, Limited Wood, Water, and Restroom Facilities. ANYBODY IN SHOOTING EVENTS MUST BE PROFICIENT ENOUGH TO LOAD THEIR OWN GUN. ALL PARTICIPATES OF THE EVENTS NEED TO BE IN PRIMITIVE DRESS.

FOOD &/OR DRINK VENDORS: YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTRERED with a tax form complete with your home address, tax number, and copy of liability insurance. YOU MUST HAVE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER AT YOUR SITE PER NFPA1 STATE REGULATION. Registration will not be accepted on site!! NO STYROFOAM OR PLASTIC WILL BE ALLOWED! USE PAPER PRODUCTS ONLY! Plastic flatware for food establishments will be allowed. You must be completely set up by Thursday.

ATTENTION FOOD VENDORS:

The city of Prairie du Chien requires that all food vendors purchase a permit/license from the city to sell food during all events held in the city. As an organization we are leaving this up to you. The hours will be different this year as her daughter is getting married, Please call early to verify.

TRADERS: You must have a tax form completed with your tax number and return it with your registration! We will not tolerate FLEA MARKET ITEMS, ex. t-shirts, caps, modern watches, jewelry not period, buddhas, dolls with plastic heads, police whistles, or other souvenir items being sold in your camp. Popguns with plastic barrels or PVC pipe barrels are not allowed! If you have coins for sale, they must be of the Pre-Civil War Era. No plastic will be allowed in sight of your trade area. NOT ACCEPTABLE-Edge weapons of Asian origins(Samurai Swords), Medieval swords, daggers, and dirks are not to be sold or displayed, fantasy edged weapons and those with laminated grips, colorful metal scabbards, colorful rabbit foot items. If in doubt please ask. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this. It benefits all traders.
